Starting over in an April Snowstorm

It’s April 19th near DeForest, Wisconsin and it’s snowing!. Last year at this time, nearly all of the corn was planted and many acres of soybeans were well on their way to being planted. Needless to say, the planting season is just as late in 2011 as it was early in 2010. This year, the only seed that has been planted is a little alfalfa seed. We have a long way to go before the corn planting even begins. Many acres still need fertilizer, etc. before planting can begin around here. Overall, the climate tends to even itself out over time anyway (with the exception of Global Warming).

The other topic that I wanted to talk about is this blog. I am restarting it after a long delay. Thanks for your patience. If you have any ideas for topics that you would like me to cover, please let me know. Have a great spring!
